Chevrolet 2 V Review: Small in size, big in value...
Are you rocked with the desire for a practical compact hatch to ferry you around in, but have no desire to fork out too much cash for it? Then either one of these should be in your shopping list...
Compact cars should all look fun and cheer you up on a dreaded Monday morning, and we’re happy to confirm that there are no bad cars here.
In terms of value for money, the Aveo5 wins simply because it provides no-frills driving experience at an affordable cost. Not only that, it’s also well-packaged and has an interior level that’s on par with the Swift and 2 – despite costing way cheaper than the two. True, it has a long way to go in terms of driving refinement and finesse and can learn a thing or two from both Swift and 2, but at that price tag, it’s decent enough.
Point for point, the Swift and 2 are impossible to split. Both are very good, virtually equal in every area and define how city-dwelling compact hatches should be made. From a driver’s perspective, the 2 has the narrow edge, and if you want the most entertaining and rewarding car, this is the one.
While the 2 may be more modern looking outside than the Swift and Aveo5, its interior still needs a better effort. And the more time you spend in the 2, the more you'll notice it. Not so in the Swift...it’s ahead in terms of interior and equipment, and although it has been around for quite awhile, the Swift still feels fresh and modern - the recent sprucing up seems to work at keeping the Swift up to date. Although the seats aren’t absolutely perfect, its quality interior and generous equipment level are enough to give it an overall narrow victory over the 2.
A narrow one.
