The S Automatic is a different kind of animal from the standard GranTurismo S.

exhaust note too quiet

For the average price of a resale five-room HDB flat, you get a Trident badged coupe that looks nothing short of gorgeous inside and out, a thoroughbred Italian sports car and lots of standard kit. Moreover, unlike with a German car, you’ll get that sense of occasion each time you drive or sit in one of these.

With the S, Maserati has instilled the soul and core spirit of the brand that the standard 4.2 GranTurismo lacks. The S Automatic though, is a different kind of animal from the S. It’s closer in spirit to the standard 4.2 car than the hardcore S. As a comfortable wafting Grand Tourer, the $465,000 GranTurismo S Automatic makes perfect sense but the driving enthusiast should fork out that extra $30k for the brilliant GranTurismo S.
