BYD's New Tampines 1 Outlet Isn't Your Typical Showroom

BYD has opened a new store at Tampines 1, marking its first lifestyle-focused retail concept in Singapore. Operated by Vantage Automotive, the outlet brings the brand closer to residents and shoppers in the East.

Unlike a traditional showroom, the store sits inside the mall, letting visitors explore BYD's EV lineup while shopping or dining. Product specialists are also on hand to answer questions about EV ownership and the brand's latest technology.

The space will also host lifestyle events throughout the year, including matcha-making sessions, cake decorating workshops and collaborations with F&B and lifestyle brands, giving shoppers more reasons to drop by.

BYD says the new outlet makes it easier for customers to discover electric mobility in a more relaxed setting, while Vantage Automotive believes the future of automotive retail is about building communities, not just selling cars.

Customers will still be supported by Vantage Automotive's Alexandra Road facility for vehicle purchases, servicing and aftersales.
