Extreme (driving) behaviour

The Mitsubishi Speedway Challenge is a motorkhana designed by the instructors to allow participants to test the acceleration, braking and handling of the Lancer EX GT, and hone their driving skills and judgement. More importantly, the challenge also provided fun and enjoyment while the participants practised and learned car control. The participants had to manoeuvre the Lancer EX through a series of tight tests as quickly as possible, while maintaining speed through the course. They sped through the slalom before ending off in an ABS stop at the end of the circuit. Through the slalom, participants were able to appreciate the handling and stability of the new Lancer EX.

After the stunt-driving exercises, the Driver Dynamics instructors treated participants to a driving demonstration in the Lancer EX. The driving demonstration was a stunning display of precision handling and seamless synchrony, peppered with heart-stopping moments. The instructors executed a high-speed chase, forward and reverse donut spins and handbrake turns, all within close proximity of each other.

The 200 participants went away with a stunt-driver certificate, goodie bags and an experience of a lifetime. Everyone had a fun-filled time under the care and guidance of the experienced instructors. At the same time, Cycle & Carriage Automotive received plenty of good feedback – many of the participants were pleasantly surprised by the handling and performance of the Lancer EX GT and they all look forward to a similar event by CCA in the near future.
