Facelifted MX-5 now available

Both the soft-top & the world's fastest retractable hard top Roadster Coupe sport a fresh design that manages to lower aerodynamic drag to 0.38 Cd (soft-top) and 0.36 Cd (Roadster Coupe).

Chassis modifications ensure that all models deliver an evolution of Mazda’s unique Jinba Ittai – oneness between car and driver – by further enhancing the Mazda MX-5's legendary agility and handling. The 2.0i engines have been fine tuned, which resulted in significant reductions in CO2 and fuel consumption

The sportscar thrills of driving the Mazda MX-5 2.0i with a manual transmission is further enhanced by the higher rev-limit (+ 500rpm) to 7,500rpm and retuning the engine to develop peak power (160ps) at 7,000rpm (+ 300rpm).

Models with the six-speed gearbox also have their engines fitted with a new Induction Sound Enhancer (ISE), which gives the power unit an even more exciting sound. Click on the following URL to experience the Jinba Ittai driving through the sound of the newly developed sound enhancer:

All MX-5 variants feature DSC (dynamic stability control), TCS (traction control system), extremely light 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, 4-airbags, an MP3-compatible BOSE audio system with 6-CD changer & seven speakers with AUX input jack, front suspension strut bar.

In addition, the Limited Slip Differential comes standard on 6-speed manual-equipped models.
