Getting married with the Benz

Getting married with the Benz

Mercedes-Benz has always been the perennial favourite wedding car, and for this couple that got hitched recently, it was a dream come true - to have a white Mercedes-Benz as their wedding car.

The BIG day

The Mercedes-Benz C200 Kompressor definitely lived up to its “perfect wedding car” reputation. All thanks to the cavernous cabin, the bride and groom, and the make-up artist manage to sit comfortably at the back seat without a single complain of insufficient legroom or lack of air-con. Also, despite the groom’s tall stature (he stands at 1.8 metres), he did not seem to worry about the headroom either.

The bestman, on the other hand, was seated snugly at the front passenger seat – even caught dozing off a few times. Well, with such a comfortable and quiet cabin like this, you can’t blame him after all.

Its boot is essentially huge – huge enough for the make-up artist’s kit, the bride’s dress, the groom’s suits and even the cameraman’s camera bag!

There’s also enough grunt under the hood, all thanks to that 184bhp supercharged engine. With a healthy dose of reserve power and torque, plus a deep pulsing engine note when stretched with a hint of supercharged whirr, you simply can’t help but love it from behind the wheel. And to add more fun, there’s a Sports mode which revs higher, holds on to gears through traffic-jam laden roads and changes down earlier - trust me, these are all important at hauling a fully-loaded car...

Impressed newlyweds

At the end of the day, the C200 shines proudly.

It lived up to its reputation as a luxurious and comfortable sedan, and those two traits were more than enough to give the newly-wedded couple a good impression of the car. The husband, particularly, was very much impressed with the overall performance of the C200.

And they're thankful to Daimler for making their wish come true - to have a white Mercedes-Benz as their official wedding car.

At least this is something they can proudly tell their children and grandkids in the future...

(The Ed would like to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to Daimler South East Asia for their kind loan of the Mercedes-Benz C200 Kompressor.)
