Oneshift - Renault Community Meet Up

Over 70 Oneshift community members descended upon Renault's Leng Kee showroom on December 16 for an evening of test drives and trivia with Oneshift and Renault.

The evening got off to a roaring start with early birds getting an exclusive test drive of the Renault Megane RS 250 alongside former A1GP Team Singapore driver Denis Lian who showed them what this fiery little French hot hatch can do in the hands of a professional. It proved to be a one heck of a ride, with one guest commenting that it was "like a rollercoaster ride".

Those with less of a need for speed tried their hand at a more sedate drive - the Renault Fluence; while others simply enjoyed the evening's sumptuous buffet dinner courtesy of Wearnes Automotive.

Guests also took the chance to vote for their favourite cars in the Oneshift Car of the Year Awards 2010, where coincidentally, the Renault Fluence and Renault Megane RS 250 Cup were nominated in the Small Family Sedan / Hatchback and Performance Car categories respectively.

The Oneshift web team was on hand to introduce a series of improvements to the website - one of which is a section where Oneshift members can now download a PDF copy of Oneshift Monthly. This newly-introduced feature was driven by the resounding success of Oneshift Monthly, with many members wanting their own digital copy of the print issue.

The evening concluded with a little Renault trivia, with Wearnes Automotive general manager Kevin Teng giving away two Renault F1 Team caps and a wine glass set to those who correctly answered questions about the night's two star performers - the Fluence and the Megane RS.

Another big winner for the night was Oneshift community member Mr Lim Beng Yong - who came away with an Apple iPad worth $728 in the Join Oneshift on Facebook contest. There were smiles all around as nobody walked away empty handed, with each guest taking home with a Renault umbrella and an Oneshift goodie bag.
