The long goodbye

After two years at the helm of this fast-growing motoring website, it's now time for me to leave and pursue something different in life. The people I've met, the list of cars I've test-driven, photographed and reviewed, priceless stuff that will stay on in my mind and to tell the grandkids one day. And hopefully make them go, "Wow! My grandpa was once a motoring journalist? Cool!"

I've learnt a lot and went to places while at . Which can only mean one thing: is quickly becoming a motoring website that car distributors are recognizing, and has also turned into an avenue for readers to read up and learn more about automobiles in general. The fact that we're a free publication that's accessible from anywhere (with internet, of course) plays a big part too...

I've yet to decide where I'll be heading to next after , but in the mean time, I will be taking a long break. To live life more, while I still can. Well like you, I've gone through a fair bit during the past two years (besides all the hard work) - failed romantic relationships, losing my beloved dad (bless him) and even seeing my elder sister got married. So yes, I'll be switching myself off... and explore the home of donuts and hamburgers.

As I bid farewell to all you, my much-appreciated readers and supportive clients (some of whom had turned into friends along the way), please continue your utmost support for this awesome website.

But before I bow out, please put your hands together and welcome 's new Consulting Editor, Raymond Lai. Well, he's no stranger to the motoring industry (and ), considering the decade's worth of experience reviewing cars - yes, supercars included. I won't deny it was tough looking for a worthy candidate, but trust me, Raymond is the perfect candidate, and will be in good hands with his guidance.
