2006 Forbes Global CEO Conference chooses Mercedes Benz as Official Car
This season in Singapore has seen no shortage of large-scale events and world-reknown names. With the Barclays Singapore Open, a US$3 million dollar affair, held in Sentosa, IMF and World Bank's meeting next week, one might have missed out the highly-acclaimed name in the corporate world, Forbes, which has also just held their Annual Global CEO Conference here.
The Forbes Annual Global CEO Conference sees to an array of the world's top businessmen and thought-leaders, providing them the platform and opportunity to discuss key global issues and to forge closer ties. This year's list of speakers comprised 32 names, where our Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, and Minister Mentor, Lee Kuan Yew, had also addressed the community of over 400.
Lea Salonga, who would probably be best remembered for her role in "Miss Saigon" also greeted the guests with a performance on the night of their gala dinner. Most proudly, Dr Rainer Thiel, President and CEO of DaimlerChrysler South East Asia, was also present, together with the many cars under their name.
