2008 BIMS : Mitsubishi Concept EZ MIEV

Mitsubishi Motors Thailand unveiled Pajero “Exceed” and Mitsubishi Lancer minor change for the Thailand market and showcased the Concept EZ MIEV compact mono-box concept vehicle at the 29th Bangkok International Motor Show. The company displayed a total of 13 exhibits which ran from March 28 through April 6 at BITEC, Bang-na, Bangkok .

In addition to the unveiling of Mitsubishi Pajero and Mitsubishi Lancer Minor Change and to comply with the theme of this Bangkok International Motor Show “The Environmental Auto Globalization”, Mitsubishi also showcased the Mitsubishi Concept EZ MIEV, the company's MIEV concept for next-generation electric vehicles that employs in-wheel motors and a high energy-density lithium-ion battery system as core technologies.

The Concept EZ MIEV is the one of Mitsubishi's In-wheel motor Electric Vehicle that includes the Colt EV, Lancer Evolution MIEV, Concept- CT MIEV, i MiEV, and i MiEV Sport. It is powered by a 20 kW outer-rotor in-wheel motor at each wheel, for a maximum output of 80 kW (110 ps) with maximum torque of 1600 Nm and maximum speed of 150 km/h.

The Concept-EZ MIEV provides three innovative seating arrangements: Lounge mode, which is a conference room-like space with the seats arranged in a circle. Transport mode, with cavernous luggage space with the rear seats stowed under the floor and Driving mode which is appropriate for normal driving conditions.
