A New Singapore Touring Car Challenge Champion Will Be Crowned
Circuit racing returns after more than a decade of absence.

Motor Sports Singapore (MSS) is reviving the Singapore Touring Car Challenge (STCC), marking the return of circuit racing after more than a decade. Held from 13 to 15 March at PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, STCC will be a support race for the MOTUL 12 Hours of Sepang Endurance race.

Touring and Production Class
STCC 2025 will feature two categories: the Touring Class, for naturally aspirated production cars with engine capacities of up to 2,000cc produced from 2007 to 2025, and the Production Class, for naturally aspirated production cars with engine capacities of up to 1,600cc from the same period.
FIA-compliant
Participating vehicles must adhere to FIA-compliant technical and safety regulations, including fire extinguishers, engine cut switches and welded roll cages. To maintain competitive balance and affordability, all cars are homologated for tyre performance and must run on GITI GitiCompete GTR2 UHP Street Tyres, the official control tyre. The grid will feature a mix of circuit racers like the Honda Civic Type-R, modern sports cars like the Toyota GT86 and Subaru BRZ, and race-prepped family favourites like the Honda Jazz/Fit and Suzuki Swift.
A new Singaporean world champion next?
STCC aims to boost the visibility of circuit racing in Singapore while providing a pathway for aspiring drivers to progress into higher levels of motorsport, such as GT4, GT3, and endurance events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It also fosters community involvement by offering opportunities for enthusiasts to take on roles like race marshals and stewards.
