Audi A1 Supermini Arrives in Singapore

Launched on ice at the Rink at JCUBE in Jurong, the Audi A1 supermini is back! This time, the German marque brings with it a blast from the past, by channeling the iconic Audi Ur-quattro; a Group B rally giant, which turned the WRC on its head. While the Audi Ur-quattro did turn the WRC on its head back in the day, the Audi A1 on the other hand, is definitely a head turner! Three flat slits below the edge of the hood, and sloping C-pillar of the A1, pays homage to the Ur-Quattro. A roof contrast line, available in two colour options, visually lowers the A1, delivering a low-slung appearance.

The new Audi A1 Sportback, which is built on the group’s rigid MQB architecture, has grown significantly in length. With short overhangs, from its wheels being pushed further out, not only presents a taut sporty stance, packaging has also improved. A generous 335 litre boot, also means that the German supermini is also very practical.

The Audi virtual cockpit with an extended range of functions comes standard for the Singapore market. The A1’s infotainment system is derived from its full-sized class of cars, also features voice control, and provides mobile connectivity through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Singapore gets just one engine option for now, a 1.0 3-cylinder TFSI, mated to its fast-shifting 7-speed Stronic transmission.

“The Audi A1 Sportback is the concentrated version of all the Audi values. Dynamically designed, fun to drive and connected, it’s ideal for Singapore. Arriving at this time of the year, this epic model also sets us up for a successful 2020," said Mr. Markus Schuster, Managing Director of Audi Singapore.

The new Audi A1 Sportback Advanced is available during the launch period for $114,999*, inclusive of COE and VES.
