Audi TT-RS details revealed
Prototypes have already been spied testing at the Nurburgring, but performance specs haven't been revealed - till now.
Based on information gathered from German Audi dealers, the new TT-RS looks set to deliver some awe-inspiring performance.
Power will come courtesy of a new 2.5 litre TFSI engine with 5 cylinders. Output is said to be in the region of 340hp and 450Nm of torque. The TT-RS not only does the century sprint in 4.5 seconds, it also manages to return a remarkable 10 litres/100km fuel consumption figure.
The TT-RS interiors will be equipped with leather/alcantara sports seats. Expect to see RS insignias around the cabin as well.
The car will be launched in the latter part of 2009, and will be available in both coupe and roadster forms.
