Audi's new A6 now available in Singapore

Now available in Singapore with the new 3.0 TFSI quattro engine variant, the new A6 enables significant reduction in fuel consumption and the quattro feature provides 40:60 basic torque distribution for even greater agility.

A series of new expressive features accentuate the design of the A6. The single-frame grill, bumpers, air vents and fog lights have all been restyled. An aluminium-coloured molding traversing the sides emphasises the A6's dynamic contour. At 4.93 meters long, 1.86 meters wide, and 1.46 meters high, little has changed in the sedan's generous proportions. The gentle lip on the trunk lid, a chrome strip on the bumper, a broad diffuser and straight exhaust pipes add definition to the design. The sedan's rear lights, with LED, have also been updated - narrow and wide, they taper inward on the sedan. The A6 is also now available in 13 exterior colours, including five new ones.

The new Audi A6 comes with the 3.0 TFSI that is equipped with a supercharger - the "T" in the TFSI logo no longer stands just for turbo, but for supercharging in general. Without increasing fuel consumption, this supercharger technology produces spontaneous engine response. And the delivery of torque right from idling speed is formidably strong - a muscular 420 Nm of torque is maintained constantly between 2,500 rpm and 4,850 rpm.

The 3.0 TFSI, combined with tiptronic and quattro drive, accelerates the A6 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. And it keeps on going up to a governed top speed of 250 km/h. The A6 will also be available in the 2.0 TFSI and 2.8 FSI engine variants.

Every other aspect of the suspension set-up has been improved, including the automotive spring response. Other technical improvements include Audi side assist - which kicks in to help drivers when changing lanes at speeds over 30 km/h. Other systems include the Audi lane assist, which helps keep drivers in their own lane, radar-assisted adaptive cruise control, which keeps a steady distance to the vehicle ahead and Audi parking system advanced, which has a rearview camera.

The new A6 comes equipped with the latest MMI generation, including the top-of-the-line MMI navigation plus. MMI navigation plus is a high-tech system with impressive performance, pioneering in an entirely new system generation with high-tech portfolio and ground-breaking standards. Special features include a CD/DVD/Navigation
combination drive with a 40 GB hard drive capacity for storing MP3s and telephone directory entries.

The new Audi A6 3.0 TFSI quattro and Audi A6 2.0 TFSI is now available for S$238,000 and S$165,800 respectively, inclusive of COE. Price of the Audi A6 2.8 FSI, however, is unavailable at this time.
