Blaupunkt opens first Premium Outlet in Singapore
Feb 2006- With the opening of its first ever Premium Outlet in Singapore, Blaupunkt is setting up to meet the growing demand of mobile audio-visual enthusiasts here. Situated at Anamalai Road in Bukit Timah, the shop showcases the best that Blaupunkt has to offer.
"Customers will be able to experience the latest Blaupunkt products in a comfortable air-conditioned environment. Here, they can interact with experienced car audio specialists about their system requirements as well as sample the latest Blaupunkt car multimedia products," explains Chris Low, Deputy GM of Sales, Blaupunkt (Singapore & Malaysia).
Among the new products that Blaupunkt is offering are the Thinline Series: flat technology loudspeakers and amplifiers for the mid-range price segment. The speakers are available in eight different styles and specifications including co- and tri-axial configurations, and the ultra flat geometry requires an installation depth of only 35mm as opposed to the standard 60mm. The Thinline Amplifiers, dubbed the THA series, start from $449 and are available in one channel, two channel and four channel variable configurations.
The Blaupunkt Nashville DAB 35 digital car radio is another innovation that lets drivers concentrate less on fixing radio static and more on driving. The unit's most striking feature is the ability to record and playback Digital Audio Broadcasts, a function that is unique to Blaupunkt. Using SD or MMC cards to record, the DAB 35 plays the recordings back in MP3 format. The same unit also features CD audio and MP3 drive integrated into the radio.
Currently, Blaupunkt has plans to open three Premium Outlets in Singapore, and the first one is being run by Acoustics Auto Sound Pte Ltd, which already has an impressive record as a professional car audio installer. Mr Chia Way Hua, Managing Director of Aucoustics Auto Sound, is also a regular figure on the International Auto Sound Challenge Association (IASCA), judging for many high profile events.
