Category B COEs climb in July’s second bidding exercise. The price-sensitive Category A COE premium has dropped back to June’s figures, a spot of good news for those wishing to buy a “Cat A” car. Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),
Quota of 1,623 @ $26,667, down from $28,589
Category B (cars above 1,600cc, and have a more than 130bhp),
Quota of 1,143 @ $39,406, up from $34,000,
Commercial Vehicle Category C,
Quota of 393 @ $24,599, down from $25,089,
Motorcycle Category D,
Quota of 900 @ $3,554, up from $3,081,
Open Category E (All but motorcycles),
Quota of 375 @ $39,889 up from $36,901,
Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB and the Internet Banking facilities of UOB or Maybank, do ensure that you have bank accounts with these participating banks.
The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.
