F1: Romain Grosjean signs for HAAS
Romain Grosjean will be parting company with Team Enstone at the end of 2015. The Frenchman, who was a Renault debutant in 2009, decided to take the risk and jump ship to a completely new team, for he believes that will be the only way he will be fighting for wins. The Grosjean-to-HAAS rumours have been floating around on the internet for a while now. Whilst both parties tried their best to keep the deal a secret until the press conference held yesterday afternoon, a little faux pas in the form of a website URL, confirmed the contract. The move isn’t as insane as some make it out to be; afterall, HAAS F1 have close ties with the works Ferrari team, with some even claiming that the Italian team will supply more than just the powerplant to the new American team. No word as of yet who will be contracted to pilot the #2 HAAS machine, although sources say that the bosses at HAAS are looking at poaching either Vergne or Gutiérrez.
