The Audi A3 TDI has been awarded Green Car of the Year 2010.

A judging panel consisting of Jay Leno, Carl Pope, executive director of the environmental group the Sierra Club, French environmentalist Jean-Michel Cousteau and Green Car Journal editors, chose the A3 with clean-diesel technology as the most environmental friendly car – finishing ahead of all hybrids.
