IT: Lamborghini to produce Urus
Lamborghini teased its Urus continuously since it was launched as a concept in 2012. Whilst it looked production ready, Lamborghini wasn’t prepared to put said vehicle into production at that time. However, with its fiercest competitors all churning out super luxurious and fast SUVs of their own, Lamborghini has finally decided that it is time for their own take on said type of SUV, and will put the stunning Urus into production. Whilst initial rumours hint at the Italian automaker outsourcing production to a third party firm, the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based firm has confirmed that the car will be made in Italy, in Lamborghini’s headquarters. The Urus is one of the 3 cars in Lamborghini’s existing fleet. The car, which will be assembled in Italy, will be based on the same platform used by the next-gen of Audi Q7. It also marks Lamborghini’s first SUV since the LM002 ceased production in 1993.
