Did you know that there are over 10,000 abandoned animals in Singapore? When the pandemic started, a growing number of people tried coping with loneliness by getting a pet. Over time, some changed their minds and surrendered them to shelters. These animals often suffer emotional trauma from abandonment and hope to find a forever home.

At any one time, a shelter could have around 100 animals under their care. Food, along with other costs like supplements, medical supplies, rent, and hiring a full-time caregiver can run them up to over S$20,000 per month. By finding adopters for these animals, shelters can lower their operating costs.

To help create awareness, Volkswagen Singapore is partnering with homegrown animal advocacy group Hope for Animals for the first ever Fast & Furriest adoption drive.
