Volkswagen Group Singapore Named As Hole-In-One Sponsor At Charity Golf Event

124 golfers gathered on 28 July 2022 at Laguna National Golf Resort Club to hit a hole-in-one for families in Singapore, at Focus on the Family Singapore’s annual Charity Golf event. After a hiatus of two years due to COVID-19, golf supporters teed off in support of Focus on the Family Singapore’s preventative and upstream work to divorce-proof marriages and nurture covid-resilient parent-child connections.

This was Focus on the Family Singapore’s seventh Charity Golf tournament and its first year with Volkswagen Group Singapore as the Hole-In-One sponsor. Up for grabs was the Volkswagen Touareg R-Line.

Besides novelty games and ice cream on the golf course, golfers also attended a meaningful post-event appreciation dinner and received affirmation and encouragement to persevere in their marriage, in a special segment that honoured those who were married for over 10 years.

Guest-of-Honour, Mr Seah Kian Peng, Member of Parliament for Marine Parade GRC and Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Social and Family Development, graced the event. “It is critical that we continue to do our part for families in Singapore – to invest in and multiply efforts that produce strong relational outcomes for individuals, and also build deeper and stronger bonds with our own families,” said Mr Seah. Thanks to the generous sponsors, the event raised over S$213,000 including individual giving and sale of flights.
