This improvement comes straight after Kia's recent through-the-line brand campaign "We're there", emphasizing on the 3 brand values of Kia: Design, Innovation and Safety.

"The Kia brand campaign has received very favourable response since our launch in September 2008, and we hope we have successfully improved customers' understanding of Kia as a brand: how much we've grown over the years, how our future is looking, and how committed we are to improving our cars. The next step now is to improve on the specifications of our existing fleet, and we are starting with Kia Carens," said Chin Kee Min, manager for Kia Operations in Cycle & Carriage Kia Pte Ltd.

The list of additional features include:

1) Dual airbags (as opposed to the current single airbag)

2) Stroke dependent shock absorber

3) Automatic Headlights

4) Rain-sensing wipers

5) Electric folding outside mirror

6) Crash auto door unlock

7) Active headrest

8) Fully automatic digital aircon

9) Sunvisor with vanity mirror illumination

10) Mood lamp on centre fascia

11) 15-inch factory-fitted alloy rims

12) Motorized driver seat adjustment

Out of the 12 new features added, more than half are safety features, as a result of listening to existing Carens customers. According to Mr Chin, Cycle & Carriage Kia will strive to improve each Kia model to embrace all 3 brand values: Design, Innovation and Safety.

The Carens Elite now retails at $62,999 inclusive of COE and is open for bookings now.
