Lamborghini Superleggera Unveiled (Photo Heavy!)
It does 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, 0.2 seconds less than the basic model. With your foot flat to the floor, the Superleggera will be seeing speeds beginning with “3” in very little time. Beneath the carbon fibre and polycarbonate engine hood lies a very angry bull that gives the 100 kilos- lighter monster a grand 530hp at 8,000 rpm.

The Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera was recently unveiled by its Italian creators only a few months ago, but now, it’s already on our shores! Well of course, it is after all, a very, very fast car.

The car was unveiled over a stylish dinner party at the Muse Bar, National Museum.
Improving the V10’s volumetric efficiency also means that it is able now to comply with the strict Euro4 and LEV II emissions standards. Lamborghini have gone through pains to make their Gallardo even better and, finally, into the Superlight it is today.

And just to give you a rough idea as to how much they have done, that 100kg shaved did not just come from removing the air-conditioning or electric windows.

Lamborghini really have looked through everything they could make better – even the wheel nuts were not spared. But if being able to cruise around is still something you would like out of this car, you won’t be disappointed.

Lamborghini have re-engineered this machine good and proper, and have kept essential bits while working more on other areas which shouldn’t affect the driver’s experience.

But of course, being the driver in a car like this, one might not be too bothered about such trivial misses; the cabin is an opulence of carbon fibre, which lets you know where the focus is – on the drive.
The six-speed e-gear Gallardo Superleggera costs $918,000, and is available in four colours: Midas Yellow, Borealis Orange, Telesto Gray and Noctis Black.

And of course, if you’re planning on getting one right now, don’t expect it to arrive this quickly. There is already a queue, and the current estimated time of arrival will be late next year.
