Lexus Teases Fully Electric RZ, Full Reveal On 20 April
Lexus has teased a couple of images of the RZ BEV, ahead of its global launch on 20 April. The RZ from Lexus is the first model to achieve a vision for Lexus’ next steps as “Lexus Electrified”.
We were given striking new visuals for four Lexus BEVs earlier this year, with the RZ shown undisguised, but only time will tell if this will look exactly like the production-ready model(s). It is likely that one variant will be announced at launch - RZ 450e.
There’s a new design for the spindle grille - cleaner lines with a closed-off design. A notable difference from the current non-BEV lineup such as the Lexus RX. And a Tesla-like yoke steering wheel headlines the visual for the interior.
And we reckon that this BEV SUV from Lexus will be the more premium (and likely slightly more powerful) version of Toyota’s bZ4X BEV, which sports a single motor setup that offers 215bhp that sprints to 100km/h from standstill in 7.7 seconds.
