Striking New Visuals for Lexus BEVs
Lexus has released new visuals of its next generation Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs). These models (RZ, BEV Sedan, BEV Sport and BEV SUV) were first revealed alongside others including Toyota models in late 2021.
Through “Lexus Electrified”, the company aims to leverage the potential of electrification with emphasis on driving pleasure. A full line-up of Lexus BEVs will launch by 2030. Lexus also claims this range will prioritise linear vehicle responses - a driving sensation that we reckon has been part of Lexus’ identity since its inauguration, and this shift to BEVs conveniently elevates its advantage on this front.
Of worthy mention will be the Lexus BEV Sport, which features bold proportions and a low ride height required reminiscent of the iconic Lexus LFA. (This reminds us of the Danish-made Zenvo ST1, which can be a good thing!) Acceleration from 0-100 km/h will be in the low two-second range and cruising distance will exceed 700km, thanks to the possible use of solid-state batteries.
Through its development of BEVs, Lexus will evolve into a brand that offers a range of driving experiences, harnessing its unique performance development capabilities, and honing its craft of making products that are ever more personalised in their performance, quality and appeal.
