Lexus unveiled the new 2017 Lexus IS

Several automobile manufacturers unveiled new models at the recent Singapore Motorshow 2017. And Lexus is no exception. Debuting the new 2017 Lexus IS, the latest entry-level luxury sedan signalled a bold entry into the sports performance segment that is already hotly-contested by brands like BMW and Mercedes Benz. Restyled with an aggressively front fascia and sharp-looking illumination, the new 2017 Lexus IS embodies the brand’s philosophy of continuously delivering exhilarating performance, innovation and craftsmanship. The new 2017 Lexus IS is an exciting four-wheeled toy. Aesthetically-pleasing to the eye, the car’s front has undergone a full transformation, featuring a restyled spindle grille that is handsomely flanked by prominent air intakes. The redesigned LED headlamps fused seamlessly with the body-styling of the car, pronouncing a strong air of integration that is typical of the Lexus culture. The interior cabin has been immaculately re-designed to engage the driver’s senses, thereby enhancing command and control. The controls, whether on the central console or on the steering wheel, are positioned at an optimal angle such that any line of actions follow a single path to facilitate task execution. The state-of-the-art 10.3-inch Electro Multi-Vision (EMV) display screen comes as standard. For unparalleled comfort, the driver’s seat has been engineered for better ergonomics and back support. The new 2017 Lexus IS comes in IS Turbo and IS Hybrid model variants. The IS Turbo is fuelled by the brand’s proprietary 2.0-litre twin-scroll turbocharged engine that is mated to an air-to-water intercooler. This result of this marriage is a quicker cool-down rate and faster engine response. The IS Hybrid version, a pioneer in the area of hybrid technology, is equipped with the Lexus Hybrid Drive system which offers significant reduction in fuel consumption and carbon emissions. The new 2017 Lexus IS’s Sport S+ mode takes performance to a higher level by tightening the suspension and increasing the steering response. Backed by the Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), which monitors and adjusts the shock settings on each wheel, depending on the conditions, the new 2017 Lexus IS promises a more comfortable ride on rough roads and tightening the suspension for reduced body lean while cornering.
