MINI Concept Aceman Makes Southeast Asia Debut In Singapore

MINI Asia and Eurokars Habitat has introduced the MINI Concept Aceman at the Singapore Motorshow 2024. This concept car serves as a preview for the next generation of MINIs - an all-electric crossover with a design philosophy called "Charismatic Simplicity," showcasing a minimalist aesthetic, and it offers a new digital interior experience and incorporates a material concept that entirely eliminates the use of leather and chrome.

Small footprint, big space

The Concept Aceman blends features from the MINI Cooper and MINI Countryman. With dimensions of 4.05m x 1.99m x 1.59m, it prioritises space efficiency through a functional two-box design. The design discards chrome trimmings, opting for strongly contoured wheel arches, large wheels and a roof rack to highlight its urban driving appeal. The new MINI design style focuses on clarity with flat and geometric surfaces extending from the bonnet to the wheel arches.

That cabin’s from the future

Interior experience is worthy of a mention, featuring a minimalist design with premium materials and inviting bursts of colours. The flat dashboard, designed like a sound bar, extends across the front of the driver and passenger seats. Soft knitted textile surfaces contribute to a contemporary and comfortable atmosphere, while a support structure displaying the Union Jack pattern serves as a nod to the brand's British roots.

Circular central interface is an experience by itself

A central interface with a round OLED display integrates the instrument cluster and on-board monitor functions. Positioned below the display is a redesigned toggle switch bar, responsible for functions like parking brake, gear selection, drive activation, Experience Modes and audio system volume adjustment. This Circular OLED display, covering the entire central interface, marks MINI as the first car manufacturer to implement such technology.

Fancy a light show before you set off?

The MINI Concept Aceman enhances the user experience through interactive features. Touching the display generates coloured 'letter bubbles' from the 'Aceman' lettering, creating a dynamic visual effect. As users approach, an exterior light show with interactive sound emanates from external speakers. The entry area features a projected graphic image and the words 'Hey Friend' on the display, adding to the inviting ambiance.
