MY: Bus drivers protest toll charges

Malaysian bus drivers transporting the likes of factory workers and students, refused to enter Singapore after new toll charges were put in place. The charges have increased by almost 500%, and to show their displeasure, the bus drivers parked up their buses at the checkpoint and refused to enter Singapore. This caused a huge traffic pile up at the checkpoint. Thankfully, by 8:00 am that day, the traffic was back to normal, after Malaysian authorities promised to revise the toll charges within a week. As a result of the strike, many had to cross the causeway on foot.Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
