New SL AMGs
Two new AMG powered SL Class joins Mercedes product range line up.
The SL63 and the SL65 AMG is slated join the SL Class family soon. To generate interest ahead of the official launch, Mercedes has published a rear view teaser image of the V12 bi-turbo SL65 flagship model.
Other than sporting an aggressive rear diffuser, a small rear spoiler and new alloy wheels, you will be hard pressed to differentiate between this newly re-styled SL and the old SL.
The SL 65 AMG will be powered by a 6.0-litre bi-turbo V12 powerplant that generates 612 hp and torque in excess of 1,000 Nm. The SL 63, replacing the SL 55, will get a 525 hp V8 with 630 Nm of torque. Both of these cars will be equipped with AMG's seven-speed gearbox.
