New Volkswagen Jetta Highline debuts in Singapore
Volkswagen Singapore yesterday announced the introduction of the new Jetta Highline. The sixth-generation Jetta has been one of the best-selling cars in Singapore since its launch in July 2011, with nearly 2,700 units registered to date. The Jetta Highline is distinguished by chrome trimmings that run along the window line as well as around the lower radiator grille, plus newly designed alloy wheels. Buyers can also choose from two interior colour options, ‘Corn Silk Beige’ and ‘Titanium Black’.
Also fitted as standard are ‘Climatronic’ dual zone air-conditioning, sports front seats and chrome door scuff plates. Powered by a 1.4-litre TSI engine coupled to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox, the 122 PS Jetta Highline also leads the way in performance.
With 200 Nm of torque available from 1,500 to 4,000 rpm, the 1,390 cc engine delivers outstanding performance in all driving conditions while achieving class leading fuel consumption of 6.0 L/100km. The car is equipped with numerous safety features including six airbags and Electronic Stabilization Programme (ESP), which contribute to its maximum five-star rating by Euro NCAP.
The list price of the Jetta Highline is $126,300 with COE. It will be officially launched on 6 September 2014.
