Although details are a bit sketchy, news has it that Top Gear magazine was performing a photo shoot on the Isle of Man with an assortment of other “comparison” cars when it happened. Although it's not clear whether an Audi R8 was one of those “comparison” cars, it was the one that apparently rear-ended the GT-R.
Adding to the unsubstantiated story, the GT-R has a booked itinerary of appearances, including a toss up at the Goodwood Hill. But is was repaired overnight, and successfully fulfilled its obligations.
