Porsche 911 GT3 S/C Is A Manual GT3 With A Fully Automatic Convertible Roof

The new Porsche 911 GT3 S/C is essentially a purist’s GT3 you can drive with the roof down. For the first time ever, Porsche has paired its high-revving 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six (510 PS, 450 Nm) with a fully automatic soft top, while keeping things driver-focused with a six-speed manual only.

It borrows lightweight bits from the Porsche 911 S/T. Think carbonfibre panels, magnesium wheels and even a lighter battery to keep weight low at 1,497 kg. That’s barely more than the old Porsche 911 Speedster, which this car loosely echoes. But unlike that, this isn’t a limited-run model.

Performance is properly serious: 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and a 313 km/h top speed. The engine has been tweaked for sharper response, especially at high revs, and still delivers a strong soundtrack - now made even better with the roof down.

The cabin sticks to a simple, sporty brief. It’s a strict two-seater with lightweight materials, analogue touches like a rotary ignition, and a clean digital display with a track-focused mode. Optional bucket seats and subtle customisation options are available if you want to dial things up.

The soft top itself is clever. It uses magnesium elements to keep weight down and maintain a sleek coupe-like shape when closed. It opens or closes in about 12 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h, while a wind deflector helps make open-top driving usable even at higher speeds.

In short, this is a no-nonsense, open-air GT3 built for people who care more about the drive than outright flash. Just louder, lighter and more engaging than most convertibles out there. In Singapore, prices start from S$1,152,988, with deliveries expected from Q4 2026.
