SC Global will once again be the naming partner for the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia race at the 2009 FORMULA 1 SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX, to be held from September 25-27 next year. The race, the Porsche SC Global Carrera Cup Asia - Singapore 2009, will once again be a major highlight of next season's calendar, which is set to include events on Asia's finest race tracks.

Announcing the renewal of its partnership, Mr. Christer Ekberg, Managing Director of Porsche Asia Pacific Pte Ltd said: "Following the enormous success of last year's event, which was a first "home" race for both Porsche Asia Pacific and SC Global Developments, we are delighted to continue what has proven to be a powerful partnership. In 2008, we had the pleasure of working with SC Global Developments
and together broke new ground in Asian motorsport, raising the bar on professional sportscar racing yet higher. We are certain 2009 will be another triumph, and we are delighted to have the opportunity once again to work with a company whose absolute commitment to excellence mirrors our own."

For SC Global Developments, the overwhelming success of Singapore's inaugural Formula One Grand Prix, and the first ever to be held at night, was a source of tremendous pride. Said SC Global Development's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Simon Cheong: "It was a privilege for SC Global Developments to be part of motorsport history as the eyes of the world were focussed on our exciting and dynamic city. We are delighted to be renewing our partnership with Porsche Asia Pacific, and look forward to another successful event next year."

The Porsche SC Global Carrera Cup Asia - Singapore 2008 was the first-ever home race for the many Singapore Porsche Carrera Cup Asia drivers and teams, and a superb opportunity to showcase their skills at the most eagerly-awaited motorsport fixture of the year.

The wide acclaim which greeted the race, held on the breathtaking Marina Bay street circuit and won by Team Jebsen's Darryl O'Young of Hong Kong, further strengthened the partnership between the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and SC Global Developments.

Supporting the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia are two of the most recognised names in international motorsport, Mobil1 and Michelin. Mobil and Porsche have been partners since 1996. Close co-operation in research and development has led to every new Porsche engine being filled with Mobil1 high-performance lubricant. Porsche Carrera Cup Asia drivers also have the advantage of racing on cutting-edge tyres supplied by series partner Michelin. The consistent performance and leading technology of Michelin tyres constantly improve the performance of many teams in international motorsport. The partnership between Michelin and the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia has emerged from a worldwide agreement signed between Porsche AG and the Michelin group.

The Porsche Carrera Cup Asia runs as part of the Asian Festival of Speed, organised by Malaysian-based Motorsport Asia Limited.
