SG: Better train services in 2015
Commuters will be able to anticipate a dramatic improvement in train services. This is a result of plans to shorten waiting times during peak hours, whilst ensuring the aged system remains reliable in a bid to reduce disruptions from as early as next year, when LTA will complete an ongoing review and announce higher operating standards for the service providers. We can expect a fleet of new trains, numerous extensions to existing lines and the completion of all new ones; expect 83 new trains to be gradually introduced to the various MRT lines.
