SG: Driver causes severe damage to Geylang Shophouse in pre-dawn crash

A car that crashed into a Geylang shophouse in the wee hours last Saturday has caused severe damage to a pillar, which left rubble everywhere. The driver, a 28 year old local, escaped with minor injuries to his left arm. However, he is currently facing further questioning after a parang was discovered under the car's back seat. The driver, who works as a designer, denied owning the parang. He claimed he did not know how it got there, and accused someone else for placing it in the car while he was being questioned by the police.
