SG: MRT Brawler fined $1500

An MRT brawl that occurred earlier this year has already cost 50-year old Ng Cheng Kiat $2,500. The second man has been fined $1,500 on Wednesday for disrupting public peace. 40 year old Teeng Kok Yong admitted to kicking Ng twice on his leg, before both were locked in a fight. The squabble was broken up by a passenger onboard. Ng admitted in court that he punched Teeng once in his face. Teeng escaped relatively lightly, for he could have earned one year in jail time and fined up to $5,000.Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
