SG: New toll rates in effect

NEA has raised the emission regulations for new motorcycles. Currently, all new motorcycles must meet the Euro I emission standards. The new regulations means new motorcycles must now meet the more modern and eco-friendly Euro III standard. This move is made in a bid to reduce the amount of pollutants in the air, to meet the guidelines set by the World Health Organisation. NEA will also work closely with authorised vehicle inspection centres to make sure motorcycles comply with the law. BMW Group Asia and CapitaCommercial Trust announced that they are entering into a partnership focused on sustainability and innovation, starting with plans to jointly install electric vehicle public charging stations at several CapitaCommercial Trust properties within Singapore’s Central Business District. The target is to install public charging stations at the following five locations and to commence operations as early as end 2014:
