Suzuki To Unveil All-New Small SUV At The 2014 Paris Motor Show

Suzuki announced that global sales of Swift have now passed the four million mark, just eighteen months after the celebration of three million units. Across the globe, 11 per cent of sales are in Japan, around 50 per cent in India and 19 per cent across Europe. Swift is driven across 140 countries, and has won around 70 awards. Swift is a world strategic model – first built in Japan in 2004, then expanding production to Hungary, India and China in 2005, Malaysia (2007), Pakistan (2009), Thailand (2012) and most recently, Vietnam at the start of the year.

Suzuki Motor Corporation will display two world-premiere concept models at the 85th Geneva Motor Show next month, the iK-2 and iM-4. The iK-2 is an ideal compact sized car, developed with an innovative theme of “Harmonized Force”. By combining all of the key elements expected in a car of this size the new model raises compact car values to the limit.

Suzuki announced some great news for buyers of the all new Vitara ALLGRIP DDiS model which is the cleanest non-hybrid 4x4 on the market. CO2 emissions are just 111g/km for the 1.6-litre DDiS SZ5 ALLGRIP model with an EC combined fuel consumption figure of 67.2mpg. It will go on sale worldwide from April. It’s not just in the 4x4 SUV segment that Suzuki excels either, as the recently launched Swift 4x4 Dualjet model also emits 111g/km and, in the Crossover segment, the S-Cross 1.6DDiS SZ-T is only slightly higher at 114g/km.
