The Prancing Horse’s Exciting September in Singapore
This September marked an exciting month for Ferrari with numerous events that led up to the Formula One SingTel Singapore Grand Prix, including debuts of the F12berlinetta and the Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific Series in Singapore.
[I][B]Singapore welcomes the F12berlinetta[/B][/I]
Ferrari fired up the season with a private preview of the new F12berlinetta at the Ferrari Showroom on 16 and 17 September followed by an official media launch at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands on 18 September. The first in a new generation of Ferrari V12s, the F12berlinetta drew instant admirers from the media and public alike. Boasting an incredibly efficient engine together with advanced vehicle architecture, aerodynamics, components, and electronic controls, Ital Auto expects to meet the healthy number of orders by early 2013.
[I][B]Ferrari Fever at F1[/B][/I]
On 19 September, Ferrari hosted the F1 Red Party in Catalunya. Over 500 guests were in attendance consisting of Ferrari owners. Among the VIPs were Ferrari Formula One drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa who made an appearance at the ultra-chic party to celebrate the marque’s passion for racing. The fête continued with a Meet-the-Driver session at the Ferrari Store at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands on 20 September when Felipe Massa visited the store to meet the media and his fans. At the invite-only event, some 80 fans in Singapore enjoyed up-close-and-personal moments with one of the most popular Formula One drivers in the world.
[I][B]Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli debuts in Singapore[/B][/I]
To complete the exciting motorsports month, Ferrari also hosted one of the Formula One support races. The Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, one of the most popular one-make series consisting of 32 4.5-litre 570 horsepower V8 berlinettas, debuted in Singapore as it concluded its Asia Pacific Series during the Singapore Grand Prix.
On 21 September, the Prancing Horse hosted the Ferrari Challenge welcome dinner in the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay for over 320 customers and VIP guests from across Asia Pacific, including Malaysia, Thailand, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. Opera singer Melvin Tan entertained the guests as they enjoyed fine dining Chinese cuisine, premium champagne by G.H.Mumm and live demonstration of champagne sabring – opening a bottle of champagne like a Napoleonic cavalry officer in one masterly and spectacular gesture.
To conclude the Formula One festivities, Ferrari celebrated the Ferrari Challenge post-race party at Ku Dé Ta with their guests. Over 200 people danced the night away to the beats DJ TAVO, the Ferrari Challenge DJ who travels across the world with the team.
