The 250 GTO was sold for US$38 million, while the 1964 Ferrari 250 LM brought in US$11.55 million on Friday. More classic Ferraris may be put up for auction over the course of the weekend. Ford's classic vehicles aren't doing too badly as well; a Ford GT40 Roadster Prototype from 1965 brought in US$6.93 million, while a 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 was auctioned off at US$1.705 million. Even non-performance classic cars can fetch seven-figures at auction too, as evidenced by the US$1.57 million price tag of a classic 1948 Tucker 48! Several rare modern vehicles, such as a 2013 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Vitesse Le Ciel Californien and a delivery mileage 2006 Ford GT brought in big bucks as well.Pictures used for illustration purposes only. Normal 0 false false false EN-US ZH-CN X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Just last Thursday (that’s the 15th of August), a classic 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO was sold at RM Auctions at Pebble Beach for US$38 million. It seems as though the trend of auctioning off high value, classic Ferrari is set to continue, for a 1964 Ferrari 250 LM brought in the big bucks at US$11.55 million on Friday, and more is expected to be auctioned off over the next couple of days. Although the Ferraris are highly desirable at auction, other makes of cars have crossed the million dollar mark too. A Ford GT40 Roadster Prototype from 1965 brought in US$6.93 million, and a 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 was auctioned off at US$1.705 million. Even non-performance classic cars can fetch seven-figures at auction too, as evidenced by the US$1.57 million price tag of a classic 1948 Tucker 48. Classics aren’t the only ones being sold for large sums of money. A 2013 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Vitesse Le Ciel Californien exchanged hands for US$2.42 million, and a delivery mileage 2006 Ford GT had a new owner at $407,000. /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin-top:0cm; mso-para-margin-right:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:10.0pt; mso-para-margin-left:0cm; line-height:115%; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin;}
