Be excited. Volkswagen has hinted towards it's 2009 Golf GTi, one of it's best-selling models, to be a real looker, borrowing many stylistic cues from the Golf W12 concept monster
The new Golf, rest assured, will still pack that potent 6 speed DSG and understated styling that has captured the hearts of many. The new one will retain the front engine, front driven layout but with a 230hp 2 litre turbo.
Graphics from Vee-dub indicate the sharing of the Golf W12-650 concept's grille. This will be the case for both three and five-door variants. Also, fans might be able to get their hands on a cabriolet, should the green flag be waved, something not seen on a Golf for a long, long time.
