VW Scirocco R-Series?
Has Volkswagen gotten overly excited with their new Scirocco, that they're coming out with an R-Series earlier than expected?
Volkswagen normally likes to reserve performance models for the later half of their life cycle, so the arrival of this supposed teaser raises an eyebrow.
The all new third generation Scirocco coupe will have its market launch this September in Europe. Unless VW has changed their R-Series strategy, the arrival of this teaser seems quite early.
From the heavily darkened image, the few details that are visible shows a front end which suspiciously looks exactly like the Scirocco GT24 racecar.
But whether the teaser is real or not is yet to be determined for now...
