Lexus IS 300H 250 C Review: A suitable proposition
The convertible version of the well-loved IS250 is finally here, and The Ed spent some time to fully understand why Lexus eventually built it. Now why should you like the IS-C, when our market is already niche, and there's a host of other models to choose from?

The IS-C is a well-built and well-engineered convertible, and the fact that (a) the foldable metal roof goes about doing its business without any glitches and (b) the missing metallic squeaks while driving with the roof up, further shows that Lexus is very serious about this particular car.
At $194,000 for this Luxury trim you're seeing here, the IS-C has a strong case for itself. It doesn't inspire or tried too hard to be a Beemer, and delivers a far more stylish appeal than the aging Volvo C70 - it's trying to carve itself as a notable convertible, and it seems to be working. So it's no surprise why the car is selling well here.
While it's true the engine needs some tweaking and the suspension needs tightening, I seriously do not mind having one for myself. I'm impressed with the quality, the sophistication it shows off while driving with the roof down and the fact that it will be a reliable piece of metal in the long run.
I'll have mine in this shade of blue, opt for an opulent black interior and then slap on a set of 19-inch alloys...
