This new WRX is a new chapter in the Chronicles of the Rex. You have to understand that with each passing day, each of these WRX fanboys will eventually don a shirt and a tie and with it, their taste for cars will change. Subaru must re-invent itself to keep up with this change in order to win the hearts of this group of potential customers.

This new Impreza deserves to wear the "WRX" badge for the very fact that it appeals to a maturing group of WRX fans that may appreciate the refined power delivery, the classy interior, the better ride comfort; Yet at the same time deliver a certain degree of fun matching closely to that of the old WRX.

However, we also cannot ignore the possibility that deep down, in that boy-racer heart of ours, the essence that once makes up a true-blue WRX may have already been lost.
