After lots of walking and running, Isaac and William Hong of Team Korea gave in to fatigue and eventually were the last team to arrive at the pit stop. How does it feel to be the second team out of the race? Isaac gives us his impressions.

How do you think you’ve done in the race?

We did not do very well in the race because we were eliminated in the 2nd leg - and that’s not what we expected when we entered the race.

It was South Korea’s first showing in the Amazing Race Asia. How much preparation went into getting ready for the race?

We were just waiting for the start of the race, because it is a reality show. Therefore we did not really do any special preparation for the race except for me - I tried to lose some weight for the race.

Were you prepared for some of the challenges that awaited you? What were some of the most unexpected twist(s)?

We were not prepared for most of the challenges, and eating bugs for the first task was completely unexpected!

What did you enjoy most?

We enjoyed the 1st leg’s detour, called “Race” - we had to drive a buggy along an 8km dirt track.

You live together and work together, but what did you learn about each other during the race that you never knew before?

Well…Once again, I’ve learned that William is a responsible person and he is a cool guy.

If you could do it all again, what’s the one thing you would do differently?

I would carry smaller bags!

Now that you’re out, who do you think will take top spot and why?

Probably Henry and Bernie. They were awesome during the first leg, and I feel they will carry that momentum throughout the race.

What are some things that you have learnt from the other teams participating?

I’ve learnt that carrying smaller bag will give you speed - just like Geoff and Tisha, and Henry and Bernie.

Would you do it all again? Why or why not?

Yes! I’d like to do it again because I feel we only showed 50% of ourselves.

What’s the plan for you guys now?

I guess it’s back to work, and we have to work hard and try to transfer more Korean players to Europe (they are both sports agents).

What motivates you and drives you to keep going on in life?

The Amazing Race Asia has taught me that the world is a great place, and there are so many things to be positive about in this world. Once we approach our life with a positive attitude, then we should be alright.
