Bosch - VOGS Auto Clinic

While Bosch may be a household name when it comes to tools or industrial products, awareness of the brand as a developer of automotive products and technology pales in comparison. The local perception that Bosch, by virtue of its German origin and heritage, is best suited for cars of continental make couldn’t be further from the truth.

Looking to raise the awareness that Bosch automotive products are suitable for all cars, the Automotive Aftermarket division of Robert Bosch (SEA) hosted the inaugural Bosch Auto Clinic event with local car enthusiast group, VIOS Owners Group Singapore (VOGS) on July 21 at its Bishan Road premise. The event sought to reach out to individual car owners to share the benefits and importance of quality automotive parts and services.

With three timeslots to facilitate efficiency, the VOGS members were offered a complimentary 15-point vehicle check by technicians from Bosch Car Service (BCS) workshops. Using a range of Bosch diagnostic equipment, the technicians conducted thorough checks on the cars, sharing tips and highlighting potential problem areas for them to take note of.

In the meantime, guests were also given a presentation where the speakers highlighted some of Bosch’s automotive products and touched upon the finer points of motoring like traffic claim procedures and car maintenance tips. A facility tour of the Bosch Demo Centre also gave the VOGS club members an insight into the entire Bosch line of vehicle diagnostic equipment and how it helps provide accurate tests.

Making sure that no one was left out, a number of games and trivia stalls had also been set up to entertain members and their families in between the proceedings. Prizes up for grabs included movie and Universal Studios tickets. Vouchers for complimentary trial Bosch automotive parts were also available for participating VOGS members.
