Ready, Set, Sim Race: Toyota’s Asia Esports Championship Returns
Kuala Lumpur will host 15 of Asia's top sim racers as they compete for individual and team honours.
Toyota GAZOO Racing is bringing its Asia Esports GT Championship back to Malaysia, with the 2026 regional finals scheduled for 15 November in Kuala Lumpur.

A total of 15 competitors representing five countries will battle it out in Gran Turismo 7, with US$31,000 in combined individual and team prizes up for grabs.
Among the names to watch are Indonesia's Andika Rama, who claimed the championship in 2023 and 2025, Malaysia's 2024 winner Taj Aiman, and Singapore's former champion Ar Muhammad Aleef, who took the title in 2020.
The competition will feature three rounds at Grand Valley Highway 1, Nürburgring GP and Fuji Speedway. Drivers will get behind the wheel of three different machines, including the GR Supra Racing Concept, GR Yaris and SF23 Super Formula.
Both individual and team category winners stand to receive US$8,000, with further recognition for race craft, rookies and the day's standout driver.
The finals will be streamed on TGR Asia's Facebook page, alongside selected regional X and YouTube channels.
