Porsche delivered 122,306 vehicles globally in the first half of 2026, down 16 per cent from 146,391 units in the same period last year, as the German sports car maker navigated model transitions, slower EV adoption and shifting market conditions.

The decline was attributed to the end of production for the combustion-engined 718 range, a strong comparative performance from the Macan Electric in 2025, and the expiry of tax incentives for electric and hybrid vehicles in the United States.

Despite the overall drop, the iconic 911 continued its upward trajectory, with deliveries rising 19 per cent year-on-year to 30,534 units. Porsche said demand remained strong across its higher-performance GTS, Turbo and GT variants.

The Cayenne retained its position as Porsche's best-selling model, recording 38,141 deliveries, down nine per cent. Customer deliveries of the new Cayenne Electric began at the end of June.

North America remained Porsche's largest market, accounting for 37,712 deliveries despite a 13 per cent decline. China saw the steepest drop among major regions, falling 32 per cent to 14,501 units amid challenging market conditions and Porsche's continued focus on value-led sales.

The Macan recorded 35,315 deliveries, including 15,620 electric variants, while Taycan deliveries fell 25 per cent to 6,219 units. The Panamera also declined 38 per cent, largely due to a temporary product gap in China.

Porsche said it will unveil further details of its Strategy 2035 during its Capital Markets Day later this year.
