Bullish year for the LP640

Lamboghini ended the year in celebration with the roll out of their 3000th car - flagship model, the V12 Lamborghini Murciélago LP640, touted as the Murciélago no 3000. (No, it's not bought by someone in Singapore)

First introduced in 2002, Murciélago created a stir within the motoring scene with its thumping 6.2 L version of its fêted Lamborghini V12 engine. Its distinct design showcased the traditional Lamborghini principles of purism, sport and function.



In 2006, Lamborghini introduced to the world a stronger, meaner Murciélago that comes strapped with a 6.5-litre engine; The Murciélago LP640. Its new name reflects the position of its new 6.5 litre V12 engine - longitudinale posteriore - and to its power output of 640 bhp.
