BYD Introduces Industry-First Coverage Programme And New 4nm Driving Chip
Safety and user confidence take centre stage in BYD's latest intelligent driving strategy.

BYD has become the first automaker to provide full damage coverage for both Intelligent Parking and Urban driving-assistance functions in China.

The one-year programme applies to new buyers and existing owners who upgrade to the latest Tianshen-BYD Driving-assistance System 5.0. Under the scheme, BYD will cover economic losses arising from legally liable accidents when the system is used in accordance with regulations.
The announcement coincided with the debut of the XUANJI A3, which BYD says is China's first self-developed 4nm automotive-grade driving chip. The company says the chip is designed to support future high-level autonomous driving applications and has already entered mass production.
BYD also revealed that the LiDAR-equipped version of its Tianshen-B Driving-assistance System will be available across its entire model range.
According to the automaker, the development of its intelligent driving technologies is backed by more than 3.15 million equipped vehicles on the road, over 200 million kilometres of daily driving data, and a 5,000-strong engineering team.
The latest updates also bring enhancements to BYD's driving-assistance architecture and AI-powered cockpit systems as the company continues to expand its intelligent mobility capabilities.
